In collaboration with Adobe and Apple, Cal State Innovate hosted Cal State CREATE- a CSU-wide creative event and competition. Similar to Adobe Creative Jams, CSU students had the opportunity to explore creative tools and create a unique, personal artifact to submit to the competition for prizes. The planning team chose “You Belong Here” as the theme to invite students to reflect on their own connotations of belonging and community.
I acted at the principal visual designer creating all digital media including: digital flyers, social media assets, logo/branding, and a landing page.
The event started on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, with an opening session and keynotes and concluded on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, with the closing and award ceremony.
Students had the option to put their creative skills and imagination to the test and participate in a design competition for prizes from our industry partners and had the ability to work individually or in a maximum group of three to create an artifact with Adobe Express that told their personal story of belonging.
Cal State CREATE received a total of 50 submissions with the winners representing Fresno State, Cal Poly, and CSU Dominguez Hills.
