Within my first year working at the CSU Chancellor's Office, I was invited to serve as a part of the Core Team to assist in the production, facilitation, and wrap up of the virtual conference. I MCed three presentations on teaching, learning, and transforming the student experience. I also had the pleasure of presenting two sessions with colleagues: one focuses on educational opportunities in the Metaverse and the other on the importance of user experience and design thinking in higher education.
Presentation: Cal State U(X): User Experience Services from the Chancellor's Office
I presented a session on the relevance of user experience and design thinking in higher education with the Director of Innovation. The 45 minute session emphasized the belief that everyone in IT is a design in various ways if they provide a service to their users. The content catered to participants that were not well versed in design thinking and processed and provided an introductory approach to UX using the 4D model: discovery, define, develop, and deliver. Over 100 conference participants attended the session.

Digital handout of UX resources made available to participants at the end of the session

Conference organizers solicited my design services to create an infographic of key conference takeaways to present to the campus CIOs and other stakeholders to show the success of the event.
